The name KYMERAH (kai-mare-ah) is inspired by the Chimera of Greek mythology, a female, fire-breathing creature, consisting of lioness, serpent and goat features. It was regarded by the ancient Greeks as both ferocious and beautiful, and by us as embofying a versatile, fierce modern woman. the Chimera exudes fantasy and wonderment and designer Daniel Feld uses this and the creatures organic yet abstract physical presence as inspiration for Kymerah.
Kymerah launched in 2011, and showcases women's contemporary ready-to-wear. The vision is elegance, comfort, individuality and functionality. Kymerah is a complete embodiment of its mythological namesake: unrestrained, organic, alluring and firecely feminine.
The collection concept is centred on glamorously tailored and sculpted silhouettes that are both classic and modern with a strong organic sensibility. "Using carefully sourced fabrics and materials from all over the world guides me to drive the course for the brand's integrity and direction", sats Feld. "I explore the different trends and markets to create something unique and intriguing for consumers and buyers alike".
